Full job description
Campground Manager (Host) – Multiple Locations (Bow Valley & Kananaskis Region)
Spend your summer where the mountains meet the sky.
Live. Work. Camp. Repeat.
We’re looking for outdoor-loving, people-friendly Campground Hosts to help manage beautiful provincial park campgrounds across the Canmore and Kananaskis region, including Bow Valley Provincial Park and Peter Lougheed Provincial Park.
This is a seasonal, live-on-site role perfect for folks who love working with people, don’t mind getting their hands dirty, and are looking to spend their summer in the stunning Alberta Rockies. You’ll need your own fully self-contained RV (our locations offer services or off-grid), and a good sense of adventure!
What You'll Be Doing
As the Campground Manager (Host), you’re the go-to person for guests and the eyes and ears on the ground. You’ll help keep the campground clean and safe, solve problems as they pop up, and create an experience that keeps campers smiling.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
-
Oversee the general operation of the campground: ensuring campsites, washrooms, and shared spaces are clean, safe, and running smoothly.
-
Perform regular inspections to catch any issues early.
Guest Services
-
Greet campers, help with check-ins, collect fees, and provide friendly guidance on campground rules and nearby attractions.
-
Answer questions, resolve issues, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Safety & Rule Enforcement
-
Monitor for noise, fire safety, and general rule compliance.
-
Be available to respond to incidents or emergencies and liaise with local authorities if needed.
Hands-On Maintenance
-
Clean vault toilets and day-use areas.
-
Empty garbage and recycling bins, maintain firepits, sell firewood, and complete light upkeep tasks.
-
Notify management if larger repairs are needed.
Fostering a Positive Camp Culture
-
Maintain good relationships with campers and other staff.
-
Help create a peaceful, respectful camping environment.
What You Bring to the Campfire
-
A self-contained RV suited for long term camping (we have a mix of no hookups or utility connections and serviced sites).
-
A positive, welcoming attitude and strong work ethic.
-
Ability to work independently with confidence and common sense.
-
Great communication and people skills.
-
Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
-
First Aid Level 1 (or willingness to complete—course provided).
-
Clear criminal record check (reimbursed upon hire).
-
Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs and work in all weather.
The Perks
-
Live on-site in the stunning Bow Valley or Kananaskis area.
-
Enjoy flexible hours.
-
Get paid to camp while surrounded by forests, mountains, and wildlife.
-
Be part of a passionate team that cares about nature and community.
Available Campground Locations:
-
Bow Valley Provincial Park (near Canmore)
-
Peter Lougheed Provincial Park (Kananaskis region)
