English Version BelowRésidents du Québec seulement. Les candidats doivent être inscrits à une maîtrise ou un doctorat en counselling, en psychologie clinique ou dans un domaine connexe en santé mentale, ou avoir terminé l’un de ces programmes.
Ce stage est également ouvert aux diplômés qui recherchent des heures de pratique supervisée requises pour l’obtention du permis de psychothérapie de l’OPQ.
Aperçu du rôle
Nous invitons des stagiaires et des professionnels pré-licenciés à joindre notre équipe en croissance. Il s’agit d’une opportunité rémunérée avec un horaire flexible qui peut inclure le jour, le soir ou la fin de semaine. Le travail se déroule en mode hybride, avec un bureau meublé pour les séances en personne et une plateforme sécurisée pour les rencontres virtuelles.
Les stagiaires et cliniciens pré-licenciés acquerront de l’expérience auprès d’adultes présentant des difficultés souvent liées ou maintenues par des traumatismes, comme l’anxiété, la dépression, les traumatismes complexes et le TSPT, les difficultés relationnelles, le deuil, l’alimentation émotionnelle et l’image corporelle, l’autocritique, le perfectionnisme, l’épuisement professionnel, le stress chronique et les symptômes somatiques.
Lorsque l’adéquation est forte, les stagiaires sont encouragés à poursuivre avec la clinique après leur stage.

Exigences
Notre stage requiert :
Disponibilité pour au moins un quart de travail en personne de 4 heures par semaine, ou que 20 à 25 pour cent des heures totales de travail soient effectuées en personneDisponibilité pour au moins un quart de travail de 4 heures en soirée ou en fin de semaine par semaine, ou que 20 à 25 pour cent des heures totales soient prévues en soiréeIntérêt ou expérience en intervention liée aux traumatismes et en traitement de l’alimentation émotionnelle ou de l’image corporelle
Parcours de stage
Option A : Stage universitaire. Pour les étudiants à la maîtrise ou au doctorat complétant un stage officiel. Un étudiant est accepté par trimestre.
Option B : Professionnels pré-licenciés. Pour les diplômés en voie d’obtenir leur permis qui souhaitent accumuler des heures supervisées par le biais d’un stage informel. Les candidatures sont acceptées en continu.

Job description
Important Note: Applicants must reside in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) and either are in the process of completing or have completed a Master's or PhD in Counselling or Clinical Psychology (or other Mental Health Programs).
We are looking for interns and pre-licenced professionals to join our thriving practice. The Healing Tree Psychology and Wellness Centre is a West Island psychology clinic providing a whole-person, trauma-informed, in-depth treatment approach to healing and recovery from a variety of emotional and psychological disorders. Our reputation is based on excellence, integrity, and high treatment standards in the local community and greater Montreal area. Our practice is expanding very rapidly and we want to hear from those who can represent our vision and want to be part of this exciting team.
This is a paid internship opportunity. Schedule and hours can be flexible and may include daytime, evening or weekends. Supervision and training are a key part of of the internship experience provided, with a close working relationship with the clinic's co-directors. This position allows you to work either in-office and/or virtually. Office space is provided for face-to-face sessions, and we also provide access to a secure platform for conducting online therapy. It is available to Quebec residents only.
We offer two types of internship opportunities:
Option A: Graduate level students (Master’s or PhD levels) pursuing a practicum placement. These are candidate who are in the process of obtaining their degree (in Psychology and/or Counselling), and looking to complete a formal internship.
Please note that at the present time we only accept one student every semester (fall, winter and summer). Deadlines for applying are as follows:
- For practica starting in September, the deadline to submit application is March 1st
- For practica starting in January, the deadline to submit application is July 1st (extended to August 1st)
- For practica starting in May, the deadline to submit application is November 1st
Option B: Pre-licensed professionals. These are professionals in the process of applying for licensure after having completed a graduate degree who require supervised practice and are looking to gain clinical experience through an informal practicum. There are no deadlines to apply for this type of internship.
This internship is ideal for those looking to develop broad-based counselling skills working with adults struggling with various mental health conditions and presenting issues. There are many diverse learning opportunities available at our private practice, and specific opportunities available to provide services in the areas of emotional eating/body image issues and trauma. The opportunity to stay on after the internship as a full-fledged member of our team is not only possible, but encouraged.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Experience or interest in working in the areas of emotional eating/body image issues and/or trauma would be an asset
- Ability to work evenings or weekends an asset, as is bilingualism
- A strong work ethic, showing good initiative, independence, and an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills are a necessity, as are strong computer literacy/technological savviness.
