Full job description
We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded individual to join our team as a Commodity Trader & Sales Associate. This role provides an opportunity to develop a career in international sales and agricultural commodity trading.
Position Summary
The Commodity Trader & Sales Associate will support the growth of our international sales activities by developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, monitoring commodity markets, and assisting with the execution of purchase and sales contracts.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-focused individual with strong communication skills, an interest in global trade, and the ability to build relationships with international customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with international customers, distributors, and business partners.
- Support sales activities including customer outreach, quotations, and contract execution.
- Identify new market opportunities and assist in growing sales volumes.
- Communicate regularly with customers in English and Spanish.
- Monitor commodity markets, pricing trends, and competitor activity.
- Support negotiation of sales contracts and coordinate with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure successful execution.
- Maintain customer records, sales pipeline updates, and market reports.
- Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Qualifications
- 1–5 years of experience in sales, trading, agriculture, logistics, or international business preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
- Strong interest in commodity markets and international trade.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
Experience with agricultural commodities, pulses, export markets, or international customers is considered an asset.
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
