Position Summary:

Cambridge International Academy is seeking a highly skilled and culturally fluent International Student Relationship Manager with a primary focus on Chinese international student management and marketing. This role will oversee the recruitment, admissions, and ongoing support of Chinese students while also leading marketing efforts targeting Chinese families. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Mandarin and English, possess strong marketing and social media skills, and be experienced in international student services, admissions, and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:1. Marketing & Recruitment for Chinese International Students

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote Cambridge International Academy to Chinese students and parents.
  • Create and manage Chinese-language content for WeChat, Little Red Notes (Xiaohongshu), Weibo, and other Chinese social media platforms to increase engagement and brand awareness.
  • Write and publish Chinese articles, blog posts, and newsletters to attract prospective students and parents.
  • Maintain and update the school's Chinese website, brochures, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with education consultants, agencies, and recruitment partners in China to drive student enrollment.
  • Represent the school at international education fairs, online webinars, and recruitment events targeting Chinese families.

2. Chinese Student Admissions & Enrollment Support

  • Oversee the entire admissions process for Chinese students, from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Communicate with students, parents, and agents in Mandarin and English, ensuring a smooth admission experience.
  • Provide guidance on study permit applications, visa renewals, and compliance with Canadian immigration regulations.
  • Organize virtual and in-person orientation sessions to help new students and parents transition into the school community.

3. Student Support & Academic Guidance

  • Serve as the primary contact and mentor for Chinese students, ensuring they have academic, emotional, and cultural support.
  • Monitor students’ academic progress, attendance, and well-being, working closely with teachers and staff.
  • Address social and cultural adaptation challenges and organize cultural exchange programs.
  • Provide guidance on university applications and career planning, assisting students with post-secondary pathways.

4. Relationship Management with Parents & Agents

  • Maintain strong relationships with Chinese parents by providing regular updates on student progress and school life.
  • Conduct parent meetings (both virtual and in-person in China and Canada) to address concerns and foster trust.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with educational consultants, agents, and feeder schools in China.
  • Handle inquiries and concerns from parents in a professional and culturally sensitive manner.

5. Compliance & Immigration Support

  • Ensure students remain in good standing with study permits, visa renewals, and Canadian immigration requirements.
  • Keep accurate records of international student visa status, accommodations, and academic performance.
  • Stay updated with Canadian immigration policies and provide timely advice to students and families.

6. Student Life & Homestay Support

  • Assist Chinese students in finding safe and suitable homestay accommodations and provide ongoing support.
  • Organize cultural integration activities, school events, and networking opportunities for Chinese students.
  • Act as a liaison between students and their homestay families, ensuring smooth communication and problem resolution.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken).
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Education, International Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in international student services, admissions, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of Chinese culture, education expectations, and parental concerns.
  • Proven experience in Chinese social media marketing (WeChat, Little Red Notes, Weibo, Douyin, Bilibili, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience working with international student recruitment agents is an asset.

Knowledge of Canadian immigration policies related to student visas and study permits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week

Additional pay:
