Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated IMG (International Medical Graduate) volunteers for our Physician Shadowing program. Responsibilities

• Observe physician-patient interactions to gain insight into clinical decision-making and patient management.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to patient flow, documentation, and appointment scheduling under supervision.
• Engage actively during patient visit, diagnoses, and treatment plans for educational purposes.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with privacy regulations and institutional policies.
• Support the healthcare team by preparing examination rooms and taking patient history and examination once shown competency in relevant clinical setting.
• Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and respectful communication at all times within the clinical setting.

Skills

• Strong interest in pursuing a career in medicine or healthcare with a genuine desire to learn about clinical practice. Ideal for IMG who is planning to apply for Canadian health Care residency.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Ability to observe attentively, take detailed notes, and ask relevant questions in a professional manner.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare protocols is preferred.
• Demonstrated reliability, responsibility, and a proactive attitude towards learning opportunities.
• Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Prior experience in healthcare settings or volunteer work is advantageous but not mandatory.
