THE OPPORTUNITY

The Supply Planner is a logistics and supply chain role which is critical to the business to ensure that goods, materials, and products flow efficiently from manufacturers to consumers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates and maintains system accuracy for all production orders at various pre-determined planning horizons (planned and firmed) based on forecast and customer orders.

Coordinates with purchasing to ensure raw materials are available at a longer horizon through system MRP communications.

Responsible for the Capacity Planning (RCCP and labor planning) prerequisite input for the S&OP process.

Monitors inventory levels and adjust plans accordingly.

Works to optimize cost-efficiency and reduce waste.

Shared responsibility of Capacity related Master Data with the other planner/scheduler.

Works cross functionally with Program Managers, Operations, Quality, Engineering and other stakeholders to execute the production schedule in the most optimized way possible without affecting customer service.

Work in tandem with the production scheduler supporting each other.

Support the Manager, Warehouse and Planning with ad hoc reporting or project requirements.

KPI’s: OTIF and Coverage levels

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline and 2-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably within the electronics industry.

Experience working with an ERP system (Made2Manage is an asset).

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Expert proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables & VLOOP’s).

Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to convey information clearly and concisely through emails, dialogue, phone calls and other correspondence.

Excellent organizational skills – ability to multitask and effectively prioritize and perform tasks efficiently.

Strong initiative-taker with the ability to collaborate with various teams to achieve results and meet targets in a demanding environment.

Analytical person – ability to identify, evaluate and effectively resolve problems.

Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and inventory management principles is a plus.

SKILLS

APICS or CPIM certification.

Experience with advanced planning systems (APS).

Familiarity with demand forecasting techniques.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
