Co-op Internship Opportunity: In-Studio Production Assistant and Photo Editor

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Co-op Intern to join our team. This role will primarily focus on assisting with in-studio production tasks and photo editing. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with a passion for photography and a keen eye for aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform photo editing tasks, including color correction, retouching, and cropping
• Use insightful judgment to select the most impactful and all must have images
• Prioritize image editing and selections with consideration for our marketplace and customers.
• Evaluate images with consideration for key attributes including composition, lighting, story narrative, unique style
• Editing the images in the ‘Mango Style,’ ensuring they are telling a story, and prepare them for delivery
• Collaborate with the photography team to ensure consistency and quality in all images
• Assisting the production team with administrative work such as updating key items on Monday.com, logging e-shoots, billing for additional hours, and handling external customer service.
• Answering phone calls
• Monitoring and reminding the team of meetings, USB/Album pick-ups, and reveal presentations.
• Preparing Thank You cards and USB boxes/keys.
• Retrieving and archiving RAW files, freeing up server space, and maintaining studio production equipment.
• Help maintain the studio space, ensuring it is clean and organized
• Assist with other in-studio production tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a photography, visual arts, or related program
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Lightroom
• Basic understanding of photography principles and techniques
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Previous experience in a photography studio is a plus but not required
