Position Overview

While proudly part of the broader Integrity Group of Companies, Integrity Building Products is a well-established leader in Alberta's building products and construction industry. We specialize in the manufacturing and supply of advanced framing components, including full End-to-End Framing Management for production homebuilders.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Superintendent – Framing to lead the execution of our End-to-End Framing Management program. This role moves beyond material delivery to oversee the full lifecycle of the framing phase for our homebuilders. You will act as a liaison between our manufacturing facility and the job site, managing third-party framing contractors, ensuring site readiness, and maintaining rigorous quality and safety standards to ensure all materials are installed with precision, efficiency, and full code compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities

Production & Trade Management

  • Subcontractors: Act as the primary point of contact for framing crews; manage schedules, assign projects and ensure materials and crews are mobilized effectively.
  • Site Readiness Verification: Conduct 'Pre-Start" site visits to confirm foundations are ready, sites are accessible and materials are staged.
  • Schedule Adherence: Monitor daily progress to ensure framing milestones meet timeline expectations.

Quality Assurance & Technical Support

  • Installation Excellence: Audit framing installations against approved layouts and the Alberta Building Code to ensure 100% compliance.
  • Deficiency Management: Proactively identify and resolve framing deficiencies prior to inspections to minimize back-charges.
  • First-Frame Orientations: Lead on-site orientations for new crews to demonstrate the specific efficiencies of Integrity’s component systems.

Safety & Compliance

  • Field Safety Leadership: Enforce OH&S Alberta regulations and Integrity’s safety policies; conduct regular site safety audits and tool-box talks.

Collaboration

  • Feedback Loop: Collaborate with the design and manufacturing teams to report field variances, helping to optimize future material packages.
  • Builder Relations: Maintain strong professional relationships with Builder Site Supers, resolving on-site conflicts and ensuring a seamless hand-off.
  • Field Reporting: Gather on-site data and track daily installation and quality metrics to report back to the operations manager.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of residential construction experience. Preference to those with a background as a Framing Foreman or Assistant Site Super for a Calgary homebuilder.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of framing components and documentation, specifically related to prefabricated wall panels, floor systems and roof trusses.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Alberta Building Code.
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management or a Journeyman Carpenter ticket is considered a strong asset.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and "speak the language" of the trades while maintaining professional standards with corporate clients.
  • Ability to read complex blueprints and resolve structural discrepancies on the fly.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to address on-site structural or scheduling challenges collaboratively with trades and builder representatives.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to manage diverse crews under tight deadlines
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Computer proficient including productivity tools, Google Workspace and ERP systems

Working Conditions

  • Environment: This is a field-based role requiring daily travel to active construction sites.
  • Physical: Must be comfortable navigating active sites in all Calgary weather conditions.
  • Requirements: A valid Driver’s License and a driver’s abstract that meets our company’s policy requirements are mandatory.
  • A company vehicle will be provided for all site travel.

NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
