We are a well-established Brain Health Centre located in North Vancouver. We have an opening for one full-time Health Services Researcher position. All training will be provided on the job.

We are currently seeking an experienced Health Services Researcher to support medical professionals at our medical facility. The successful candidate will have experience assisting in the intake and administration of clients. An ability to work independently and follow instructions is a must for this position and all candidates must be capable of handling difficult situations with a positive attitude and composure.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health services and clinical research related to mental health, neurotechnology-based interventions, and evidence-informed treatment programs.
  • Design, coordinate, and support research projects involving neurofeedback, EEG, quantitative EEG (qEEG), transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), and other neurotechnology-assisted mental health interventions.
  • Perform literature reviews, evidence syntheses, and environmental scans to identify emerging clinical practices, treatment approaches, and health service innovations.
  • Collect, organize, manage, and analyze clinical, operational, and outcome data to evaluate the effectiveness, safety, and quality of mental health services and treatment programs.
  • Develop and evaluate treatment protocols, service pathways, and outcome measurement frameworks for mental health and neurotechnology-based programs.
  • Monitor program performance using quantitative and qualitative research methods and provide recommendations to improve client outcomes, service delivery, and operational effectiveness.
  • Prepare research reports, program evaluations, statistical summaries, scientific presentations, manuscripts, abstracts, and knowledge translation materials.
  • Support the design and implementation of clinical research studies involving human participants, including protocol development, data collection, research documentation, and ethics-related activities.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, technicians, and management to translate research findings into evidence-based clinical services and program improvements.
  • Evaluate new assessment tools, neurotechnology platforms, and treatment-support systems for integration into mental health programs and clinical operations.
  • Conduct outcome evaluations of mental health services and provide recommendations regarding program planning, service development, quality improvement, and client care pathways.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable privacy, confidentiality, research ethics, and health care quality standards in all research and evaluation activities.
  • Provide scientific and research-based advice to management regarding mental health services, neurotechnology programs, clinical effectiveness, and service optimization.
  • Any other general medical office duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications to apply:

· Experience in community outreach, social services, healthcare, or nonprofit environments

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Comfortable with field-based work and frequent face-to-face meetings

· Cultural sensitivity and ability to engage diverse communities

· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple locations

· A Psychology degree is an asset.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience working in settings that provide any of the following:
