The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations the Laval and Quebec City regions, providing leadership to logistics coordinators, office staff, and two-person delivery teams. This role is accountable for ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of major home appliances while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational performance.

Key responsibilities include leading and developing staff, managing schedules and work assignments, monitoring operational performance through reporting and analytics, overseeing project initiatives, and driving broker recruitment, retention, and performance. The Site Manager is responsible for ensuring operational compliance, productivity, and service excellence across the region. The primary service area is the Greater Toronto Area.

What You’ll Be Doing! Your day-to-day will involve…

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused last-mile delivery performance.
  • Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs), including Quality of Service (QOS), On-Time Delivery, First-Time Completion, and other operational metrics.
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and manage independent contractor delivery teams (owner-operators) to meet operational and service requirements.
  • Supervise and support a team of 1–2 office staff and up to 15 owner-operators performing last-mile appliance deliveries.
  • Oversee daily office operations, ensuring compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and operational policies.
  • Ensure the Transportation Management System (TMS) is maintained with accurate and timely updates to support dispatching, reporting, and customer communication.
  • Review daily delivery schedules and assign routes to delivery partners based on performance, capacity, service levels, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate routing activities with team members across multiple locations to optimize efficiency and customer service.
  • Build strong working relationships with owner-operators through regular coaching, performance discussions, and retention initiatives.
  • Investigate operational issues, customer concerns, and service failures to ensure accurate information is communicated and appropriate corrective action is taken.
  • Partner with the Warehouse team to ensure delivery schedules, load-out timelines, and operational priorities are met.
  • Conduct daily load-out meetings and face-to-face check-ins with brokers and delivery teams to review expectations, address issues, and ensure readiness for the day's deliveries.
  • Complete end-of-day reconciliation and closing procedures, ensuring all deliveries, documentation, and system updates are finalized accurately.
  • Develop and execute operational plans to support peak delivery periods, including seasonal volume increases such as July and November.
  • Collaborate with the Claims and Conformance teams to ensure all delivery partners meet compliance, documentation, training, and safety requirements.
  • Conduct quarterly road audits and equipment/tool audits to verify compliance with company standards, safety expectations, and service quality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, support the implementation of new company systems and initiatives, and promote continuous improvement across the site.
  • Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments, delivery partners, and leadership to ensure alignment on operational priorities and service expectations.

What we are looking for:

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in last-mile logistics, transportation, or distribution operations (preferred).
  • Previous experience leading or supervising operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound decision-making skills.
  • Proficient with cloud-based business applications, including Google Workspace, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and other operational software. (this is a fully digital environment)
  • Valid Class G driver's licence with access to a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) is required.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
