Tire Technician Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and a passion for automotiveand tire repair. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of tires on a wide range of vehicles including commercial while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires the ability to work with various hand and power tools, perform heavy lifting, and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Install, balance, and rotate tires on various vehicles including commercial trucks
  • Conduct thorough inspections of tires to identify wear patterns and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform tire-related services.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding tire maintenance and automotive repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist with sales of tires and related products, ensuring customers are informed about options available to them.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles as needed, including brake checks and alignment services.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dealership or automotive repair shop is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using both hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Customer service experience is essential for effectively communicating with clients.
