Job description:

Integral is now hiring Licensed Electricians and Apprentices (Year 1–4) for Various Commercial Projects in Calgary and Airdrie. Prior experience not necessary. We are willing to sponsor the right candidates for an apprenticeship, however, you must be interested in learning the electrical trade and developing an electrical skillset.

General Requirements:

· Journeyman License, or proof of registration in the Electrician Apprenticeship Program (or if you are not currently registered, we can sponsor and assist with this process).

· Government issued photo ID (Drivers License Preferred)

· Mandatory Drug, Alcohol & Fitness Testing

· Must have reliable transportation

Safety Tickets:

· CSO – Common Safety Orientation - REQUIRED

· WHMIS 2015 - REQUIRED

· Fall Pro (must meet commercial / industrial safety standards)

· First Aid / CPR

· AWP/EWP (Aerial and/or Elevated work platform)

Ability and/or willingness to:

Work in a team environment

Available to work Night/Afternoon shifts

Work in safe manner

Develop good working relationships with management and colleagues

Mentor, lead and direct apprentices (Supervisory positions only)

Meet or exceed construction schedules

Willing to learn new skills

Willing to actively participate in the HSE program and culture to maintain and further develop the safety program

Additional pay:

Overtime pay – offered frequently

Night/Afternoon Premiums $5 per hour

Additional 5% pay for apprentices based on scaling pay ratio for 1st,2nd, 3rd, 4th year.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday typical.

Some potential for longer days, afternoon or evening shift, and weekends, depending on the project. Overtime when available.

Experience:

Electrical experience: 1 year minimum (preferred)

Low voltage and data experience an asset

EMT conduit bending and installation an asset

Wire pulling experience

Installation of low and medium voltage distribution

Ability to read and understand blueprints

Proficiency with installation and maintenance of electrical systems and lighting controls

Proficiency with installing and testing fire alarm and life safety systems

Troubleshooting skills an asset

General knowledge of electrical codes and installation best practices

General knowledge of use for standard multi-meter and test equipment such as insulation resistance testers and Category 6 qualifiers and certifiers. Training for use is available
