Full job description

Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance Processing, the Industrial Instrumentation Mechanic is responsible for the installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of all electronic process control field instrumentation in a modern coal processing environment.

This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 day shift schedule.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • In certain components of this role, it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal
  • Install, calibrate, repair, and maintain electronic process control field instrumentation
  • Work in a team-oriented environment of instrumentation and electrical peers
  • Perform all aspects of installation where required, including piping and wiring.

Requirements:

  • Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation & Control Technician Certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience in an industrial environment
  • Experience with control systems, DCS and PLC experience would be an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
  • Previous mining experience an asset.

Hourly Wage: $54.63
