Inline Computer Support jobs

Adecco is currently hiring a Computer Application Support Specialist for a full-time opportunity in Trenton. If you are confident working across networks, software platforms, and system integrations, this position offers a challenging and technical environment with exposure to mission-critical systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and optimizing computing systems, troubleshooting technical issues, integrating software and hardware environments, and ensuring system performance and compatibility across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Work in a networking environment to configure network software and ensure compatibility of programs, utilities, hardware, and peripherals.
  
• Maintain and apply detailed knowledge of operating systems, communication protocols, and commonly used software to ensure optimal system performance.
  
• Merge files and documents across multiple platforms and environments.
  
• Use advanced communication features and collaboration tools within system applications.
  
• Develop and implement macros within application software to improve efficiency.
  
• Convert files between different formats, including document conversion to ASCII.
  
• Perform system troubleshooting for printers, CPUs, and related hardware components.
  
• Write and support special routines and scripts to improve system functionality.
  
• Integrate multiple software packages across platforms and systems.
  
• Develop new reports and enhance existing reporting structures.
  
• Support system optimization to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
  
• Ensure proper system functionality through testing, analysis, and corrective actions.
  

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  
• Must be eligible to obtain or currently hold Secret Clearance.
  
• Strong experience working in a networked IT environment.
  
• Advanced knowledge of operating systems, software applications, and system integration.
  
• Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  
• Experience integrating software and hardware systems across platforms.
  
• Ability to develop macros, scripts, and automated routines within applications.
  
• Familiarity with file conversion processes and cross-platform document handling.
  
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  
• Willingness to attend additional training or certification courses as required.
  
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
