Full job description

Store Lead — ESPRO Coffee Bar

Toronto (The Beaches) · Full-time

This is not a café manager job.

ESPRO Coffee Bar is the retail innovation lab for DKK Brands, the company behind ESPRO, LIITON, and PROCLAD.

On the surface, we're a neighborhood coffee bar in Toronto's Beaches. Underneath, we're building something much bigger—a flagship retail concept where premium coffee, experiential retail, product personalization, TikTok Live, creator content, and community events come together in one destination.

This location is designed to be far more than a coffee shop. It will serve as:

  • A premium specialty coffee destination.
  • A retail showroom for DKK Brands.
  • A TikTok Live and creator content studio.
  • A laser engraving and personalization center for custom gifts and products.
  • A venue for customer experiences, product launches, workshops, and community events.

We're hiring one person to own the operation and help build the model we intend to scale across Canada.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Run the daily operations of the coffee bar, including scheduling, hiring, coaching, quality standards, inventory, and cost control.
  • Work alongside the team during busy periods and lead by example.
  • Build the retail business by improving merchandising, product placement, upselling, and customer experience.
  • Launch and operate our personalization station, including laser engraving, gifting experiences, and corporate orders.
  • Help transform the space into a destination for TikTok Live, creator collaborations, product demonstrations, and community events.
  • Coordinate with internal marketing and content teams to ensure the store is always ready for livestreams, video production, and influencer visits.
  • Own key business metrics including sales, retail mix, average transaction value, labour, and profitability.
  • Continuously improve store operations while creating memorable customer experiences.

Who We Think You Are

  • You have experience in premium retail or hospitality (Aesop, Apple, Lululemon, Nespresso, Arc'teryx, specialty coffee, or similar).
  • You've successfully managed teams and consistently delivered sales results.
  • You're passionate about retail, customer experience, and building something from the ground up.
  • You're comfortable supporting social commerce initiatives including TikTok Live, creator events, and experiential retail.
  • Coffee experience is an advantage—but not required. We can teach coffee; we can't teach leadership and retail instincts.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who live close to the store location (2102 Queen Street East, Toronto), allowing for greater flexibility and operational support.

What You Get

  • Competitive base salary (CAD $62,000–$68,000) based on experience.
  • Performance bonus tied directly to store results.
  • Opportunity to work directly with the founders and senior leadership.
  • The chance to build the flagship location that will become the blueprint for future DKK Brands retail stores across Canada.
  • Career growth within one of Canada's fastest-growing premium consumer brands.
