About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced QA / Test Analyst to support a large scale OpenText TeamSite to Microsoft SharePoint migration.
This role is primarily focused on quality assurance and validation of migrated content. The successful candidate will not be responsible for performing the migration itself. Instead, they will ensure that content has migrated accurately from the legacy OpenText TeamSite environment to SharePoint and that the new SharePoint site functions as expected.
This is a detail intensive role requiring strong testing experience, critical thinking, and the ability to identify, document, communicate, and retest migration defects.
Key Responsibilities
-
Validate content migrated from OpenText TeamSite to Microsoft SharePoint.
-
Compare migrated SharePoint content against the legacy TeamSite environment to confirm accuracy and completeness.
-
Ensure all page content, tables, attachments, documents, links, and other components have migrated successfully.
-
Validate that the functionality of the new SharePoint site is working as expected.
-
Identify missing content, incorrect formatting, broken functionality, sequencing issues, and migration discrepancies.
-
Execute functional, content, and technical testing throughout the migration lifecycle.
-
Clearly document defects, discrepancies, and testing results.
-
Work with migration and technical teams to investigate and resolve identified issues.
-
Perform regression testing and retesting after defects have been addressed.
-
Validate that procedures, content structures, and required information have transferred correctly.
-
Support migration readiness activities and validate scripting related outputs where required.
-
Identify quality concerns that could impact users and escalate issues appropriately.
-
Maintain accurate testing documentation and evidence throughout the project.
Must Have Qualifications
-
4+ years of QA, testing, or validation experience.
-
Hands on experience with OpenText TeamSite.
-
Strong experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
-
Experience validating content and functionality during technology or content migrations.
-
Strong experience identifying, tracking, and documenting defects.
-
Experience performing detailed comparisons between legacy and newly migrated environments.
-
Strong technical testing and quality assurance skills.
-
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle content or functionality discrepancies.
-
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
-
Post secondary education.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a detail oriented QA / Test Analyst with hands on experience working with both OpenText TeamSite and Microsoft SharePoint.
They understand that successful migration testing goes beyond confirming that a page exists. They will carefully validate that content, tables, attachments, links, procedures, sequencing, formatting, and functionality have transferred accurately from the legacy platform.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, identifying issues others may overlook, clearly documenting defects, and communicating concerns to the migration and technical teams. Strong critical thinking and attention to detail are essential for this role.
