Full job description

Position Summary
The Technology Lead serves as the primary liaison between Canadian operations and the broader Solestra technology organization. This role is responsible for aligning technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems, and operational initiatives across Canadian business units while ensuring local operational needs are effectively represented and supported.

The Technology Lead works within a matrix organization, functionally aligned with the corporate technology team while partnering closely with Canadian General Managers, operational leaders, and site teams. The role drives technology standardization, business process improvement, cybersecurity compliance, vendor management, and strategic technology initiatives that support business growth and operational excellence.

In addition to these responsibilities, the incumbent will continue to provide leadership and support for core Business Systems Analyst functions, leveraging deep knowledge of business processes, ERP systems, manufacturing technologies, and operational workflows to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Business Partnership & Leadership

  • Serve as the primary technology point of contact for all Canadian operations.
  • Act as the technology liaison between Canadian business units and the broader Solestra technology organization.
  • Build strong relationships with site leadership, operational teams, and corporate stakeholders to
  • ensure technology priorities align with business objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into technology solutions that improve operational performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations regarding technology investments, risks, and strategic initiatives.

Technology Operations & Infrastructure

  • Maintain visibility into all Canadian technology assets, infrastructure, applications, and vendor relationships.
  • Support infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity improvements, and technology standardization
  • Coordinate with managed service providers (MSPs), technology vendors, and internal technology
  • Support technology integration and alignment across Canadian locations and acquisitions.
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies that improve business operations

Cybersecurity, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Support cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability management, and risk reduction activities.
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of security frameworks, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and communicate technology risks, mitigation plans, and compliance priorities.
  • Partner with corporate technology leadership to ensure adherence to company security standards and industry best practices.
  • Support asset management, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives

Business Systems & ERP Support

  • Continue to provide leadership in business systems analysis and process improvement activities.
  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for system enhancements and operational improvements.
  • Support ERP optimization, manufacturing systems, reporting tools, and related technology initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and process standardization.
  • Develop and maintain business process documentation, workflow analysis, and system requirements.
  • Support testing, user acceptance activities, implementation planning, and change management efforts

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology, automation, and data-driven decision making.
  • Support operational improvement projects across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and administrative functions.
  • Deliver proof-of-concept solutions and evaluate emerging technologies where appropriate.
  • Promote standardization of processes, systems, and reporting across Canadian operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Solestra's operational goals.

Vendor & Project Management

  • Coordinate technology projects from planning through implementation.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, consultants, and service providers.
  • Assist in technology budgeting, project prioritization, and resource planning.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Escalate issues and risks appropriately while driving resolution.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular reporting on technology priorities, project status, cybersecurity posture, and operational risks.
  • Communicate technology initiatives and business impacts to both technical and non-technical
  • stakeholders.
  • Present recommendations and updates to site leadership and executive management.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Canadian operations and global technology teams.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Systems, or
  • a related discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Experience:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in technology, business systems, operations technology, or IT
  • leadership roles.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or multi-site operations preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, business process analysis, and technology project management.
  • Experience managing vendors, service providers, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, and operational technologies

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong business analysis and process improvement capabilities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, ERP platforms, and operational technologies.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority in a matrix environment.

Pay: $78,417.65-$130,338.30 per year
