As a Procurement Specialist , you'll support the procurement and sourcing function by managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, analyzing purchasing data, and driving continuous improvements across the supply chain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to procure quality goods and services at the best value while ensuring compliance with company policies, supplier agreements, and organizational safety standards.

What you'll do:

  • Carries out inventory control functions by balancing company goals (cost, quality, delivery), setting up and maintaining ABC analysis of inventory, monitoring and controlling customer consignment parts, disposing of excess/obsolete inventory, rescheduling orders if their receipt is premature, monitoring reduce to spares inventory levels, and transferring inventory between service center locations if necessary.
  • Obtains quotations from vendors to ensure favorable quality, price and delivery terms; researches new products and vendors; provides data to technical staff and assists them in purchasing decisions. Expedites orders to ensure timely delivery of purchases by verifying initial demands and analyzing backorder reports.
  • Create, issue, and manage purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and resolve delivery, quality, invoice, and pricing issues.
  • Controls data integrity of inventory systems by creating and updating item master files, monitoring past due purchase orders and work-in-progress, researching inventory discrepancies, verifying and updating alternate parts file, and verifying and updating standard costs.
  • Coordinates and monitors the return of damaged goods, arranging for replacements or credits, and documents all transactions.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support supplier selection, contract implementation, and procurement initiatives that align with business objectives.
  • Analyze procurement, supplier, inventory, and spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities, supplier performance trends, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and business analyses to support sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, inventory planning, and management decision-making.
  • Follow all applicable safety requirements, promptly report unsafe conditions or practices, and perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Carries out other projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Supply Chain certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain operations.
  • 3+ years of experience conducting supplier sourcing activities, including RFQs, RFPs, competitive bidding, and supplier evaluations.
  • 3+ years of experience negotiating supplier pricing, contracts, terms, and conditions.
  • 3+ years of experience creating and managing purchase orders and resolving supplier delivery, quality, or invoice discrepancies.
  • Ability to comply with organizational safety requirements, including reporting unsafe conditions and adhering to established safety policies and procedures.
  • Effective negotiation, stakeholder management, decision making, conflict resolution, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Desired Skills

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP, formulas, sorting/filtering, and data analysis or experience using Power BI, Access, or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting procurement within the aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or MRO industry.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract administration.
  • Experience leading supplier management, or cost reduction initiatives.
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles, supply planning, and supply chain performance metrics.
  • Experience developing business cases, reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
