Full job description

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Part-Time Chef to support our healthy meal prep operations in Coquitlam, BC. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and cooking , high-protein meals and has experience in Indian, Mexican, Brazilian, Asian, Mediterranean cuisine or any relatable.

You'll work closely with a small team, lead prep, and bring ideas to the table — literally.

Shift: Every Saturday, Sunday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (or Sunday only)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a weekly menu of healthy, high-protein meals (e.g., grilled meats, veggie sides, rice bowls, curries, etc.)
  • Supervise and support a small kitchen team (you’ll be working with two others)
  • Maintain proper food safety, cleanliness, and organization (Food Safe Level 1 required)
  • Contribute new recipe ideas, especially global or fitness-inspired ones
  • Assist with grocery and prep planning
  • Ensure all meals meet quality standards for taste, portioning, and presentation

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a professional kitchen, catering, or high-volume meal prep
  • Comfortable preparing international dishes (Indian, Brazilian, Mexican, Asian)
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification is mandatory
  • Able to work early mornings and lead a prep day independently
  • Strong time management and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Passionate about healthy cooking, clean eating, and food quality
