Job Summary

The Views Dosa Hub Restaurant is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused Servers / Front-of-House Team Members to join our growing team. We specialize in authentic South Indian and North Indian cuisine and are looking for individuals who can provide exceptional guest service while supporting restaurant operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, possess strong communication skills, and be willing to assist with both customer service and restaurant cleanliness.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Sales

  • Welcome guests warmly and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage recommendations.
  • Take dine-in, takeout, and online orders accurately.
  • Upsell menu items, specials, desserts, and beverages.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally.
  • Ensure guests have a positive dining experience from arrival to departure.

POS & Order Management

  • Operate Toast POS and other restaurant technology systems efficiently.
  • Process cash, debit, credit card, and mobile payments accurately.
  • Coordinate online delivery orders and takeout pickups.
  • Ensure order accuracy and timely communication with kitchen staff.

Restaurant Operations

  • Assist during busy service periods by managing multiple tables and customer requests.
  • Maintain smooth communication between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
  • Support opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist with inventory stocking, condiments, packaging supplies, and beverage stations.

Cleaning & Sanitation

  • Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, service stations, and dining areas.
  • Sweep and mop restaurant floors regularly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of guest washrooms and staff facilities.
  • Assist in keeping kitchen areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Dispose of garbage and recycling according to restaurant procedures.

Food Handling & Preparation Support

  • Assist with basic food preparation and packaging when required.
  • Follow proper food handling and hygiene procedures.
  • Ensure food presentation and service standards are maintained.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous restaurant or food service experience is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Toast POS or other POS systems is preferred.
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively in:
  • English
  • Hindi
  • One or more South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, or Malayalam preferred)
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak business hours.
  • Basic math skills and cash-handling experience.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical cleaning duties.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience preparing and serving mocktails, specialty beverages, and cocktails.
  • Knowledge of bar operations, beverage presentation, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Valid Serving It Right certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Valid FoodSafe Level 1 (or equivalent Food Service Permit) certification is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and beverage preparation area.
  • Knowledge of beverage inventory control, garnishing, and drink preparation standards is an asset.

Beverage Service Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve mocktails, cocktails, soft drinks, and specialty beverages according to restaurant standards.
  • Verify identification and comply with all provincial liquor regulations when serving alcohol.
  • Maintain responsible beverage service practices at all times.
  • Keep beverage stations stocked, clean, and organized.
  • Assist with beverage promotions and upselling opportunities to enhance the guest experience.

Employment Type

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour
