Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for authentic Indian cuisine, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food and service. The Indian Chef will oversee kitchen operations, manage food preparation, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes with attention to flavor, presentation, and consistency
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and assistants, ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Oversee food handling procedures in compliance with safety standards
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to health regulations
  • Lead menu development and suggest new dishes to enhance the culinary offerings
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and uphold quality standards
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure excellent service delivery
  • Ensure timely preparation of dishes during busy hours while maintaining quality control
  • Uphold food safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management within the food industry
  • Supervising experience with team management capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, ingredients, and traditional cooking techniques
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
  • Solid understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
  • Experience in hospitality settings with a focus on customer satisfaction
