Job Overview
We at 100+ Restaurant, Juice bar and Cafe are seeking a dedicated Vegetarian Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about preparing nutritious and delicious vegetarian meals, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a vibrant food service environment focused on healthy, plant-based cuisine. The Vegetarian Cook will be responsible for meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen space, all while providing excellent service to our guests. Knowledge of variety of Vegetarian dishes including North and South Indian as well as other international Veg, Vegan Cuisines will be a definite asset. This position will start with part time but will soon be full time.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of vegetarian dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
  • Ensure all food handling practices meet safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area before, during, and after service
  • Serve meals efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality control
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals during busy periods
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of supply needs

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, especially within the food industry or kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques specific to vegetarian cuisine is advantageous
  • Experience with meal preparation, cooking, and food handling practices is essential
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation procedures is required
  • Prior experience in serving or working in a restaurant setting is beneficial but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates
