Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Indian Tandoor Guy to join our vibrant culinary team! In this role, you will be the master of the tandoor oven, bringing authentic Indian flavors to life through expert food preparation and cooking. Your enthusiasm for food service, combined with your dedication to food safety and quality, will create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook traditional Indian dishes using the tandoor oven, ensuring authentic flavor and presentation
  • Handle food with care, following all food safety and hygiene standards to maintain cleanliness and quality
  • Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests, delivering excellent food service experience
  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as marinating, dough making, and ingredient assembly to support kitchen operations
  • Maintain proper food handling procedures during meal preparation and service to prevent cross-contamination
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders
  • Monitor the condition of the tandoor oven and other kitchen equipment, reporting any maintenance needs

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Knowledge of Indian cuisine, especially tandoori techniques, is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
  • Previous experience working with kitchen equipment such as tandoors or similar ovens preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Prior experience in meal preparation and food industry roles is a plus
