Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic, multi-skilled Team Member to join our vibrant Indian restaurant team. In this role, you will play a critical part in providing an exceptional dining experience—from welcoming guests in the lobby and managing cash transactions to assisting in both hot and cold kitchen stations. Your primary focus will be delivering authentic hospitality, ensuring high food quality, upselling signature menu items, and actively gathering customer feedback to help us continuously improve.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Lobby Management
• Warmly greet guests upon arrival, manage seating flow, and maintain an inviting atmosphere in the dining area.
• Provide fast, friendly, and attentive service throughout the guest’s dining experience.
• Keep the dining room, host stand, and service areas clean, stocked, and sanitized at all times.
• Cashier & Point of Sale (POS)
• Process dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders accurately using the POS system.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions responsibly and balance the register at the end of shifts.
• Answer phone calls promptly to take orders, answer menu questions, and handle reservations.
• Upselling & Guest Feedback
• Drive sales by actively recommending signature dishes, appetizers, drinks (such as Mango Lassi or Chai), and traditional desserts.
• Guide guests through the menu, offering suggestions based on dietary preferences (vegan, gluten-free) and spice tolerances.
• Actively request customer reviews and feedback regarding their meal and service before they leave.
• Gently address immediate customer complaints and report critical issues to management to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Cold & Hot Station Support
• Cold Station: Prepare authentic salads, chutneys, raitas, starters, and cold beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards.
• Hot Station: Assist in assembling hot dishes, plating curries, portioning rice, and ensuring bread (naan/roti) is served fresh and hot.
• Ensure all food items meet strict taste, temperature, and quality standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Food Safety & Hygiene
• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines in both front-of-house and kitchen areas.
• Label, date, and properly store food items to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
• Qualifications
• Previous experience in a restaurant, fast-casual setting, or customer service role preferred.
• Knowledge of or passion for Indian cuisine, spice levels, and culinary terminology.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and comfort using digital POS systems.
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $18.25-$19.00 per hour
