Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of food to guests, maintaining a clean and organized service area, and supporting the overall guest experience. Duties

• Have a good knowledge of South Indian dishes, ingredients, accompaniments, and spice levels to confidently identify and serve orders.
• Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guest tables promptly and accurately
• Assist servers with food presentation and table setup as needed
• Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing empty plates and resetting tables
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or replenishing supplies when required
• Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth service flow
• Assist with cleaning duties to uphold health and safety standards
• Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order accuracy when necessary
• Provide excellent guest services by being attentive, courteous, and professional at all times

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations, serving techniques, and meal preparation is a plus
• Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or cashiering is advantageous
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Prior experience in hotel or barista environments is beneficial but not mandatory
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
