Job Overview

We are seeking a EAST INDIAN Cook/Chef to join our vibrant culinary team! MUST KNOW TANDOOR AND CURRIES. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality meals that delight our guests and elevate their dining experience. Your expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety will be essential to maintaining our restaurant’s reputation for excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment where creativity and attention to detail are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Handle all aspects of food preparation, including chopping, marinating, seasoning, and plating.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Serve food efficiently to ensure timely delivery to guests while maintaining presentation standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with stock rotation and ordering as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal service during busy hours and special events.
  • Follow all health regulations related to food handling, storage, and hygiene practices.

Experience

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong background in cooking and meal preparation.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential.
  • Previous kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in preparing a variety of cuisines or dishes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices for delivering exceptional customer service through food presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration and continuous learning.
