Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Hand/Cook to join our team. This role involves preparing and cooking vegetarian indian meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent kitchen skills, and experience working in a restaurant or food service setting. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills while contributing to a dynamic team focused on delivering quality meals to our customers. Making Indian sweets and pastries will be an asset .

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
  • Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining high quality
  • Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure safe food handling practices
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
  • Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock levels
  • Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
  • Adhere to all health regulations and safety procedures within the kitchen environment

Skills

  • Proven experience in cooking, food preparation, or restaurant settings
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
