Full job description

We are seeking an experienced Tandoori Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating a traditional tandoor oven and preparing authentic Indian tandoori dishes, breads, and grilled specialties while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook tandoori items including chicken, fish, kebabs, paneer, and other specialties.
  • Prepare naan, roti, kulcha, and other Indian breads in a tandoor oven.
  • Marinate meats and vegetables according to restaurant recipes.
  • Monitor cooking temperatures and ensure food is cooked to perfection.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the tandoor station and kitchen area.
  • Assist with food preparation and inventory management.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Work efficiently during busy service periods.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Tandoori Cook in an Indian restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of tandoor operations, grilling techniques, and Indian cuisine.
  • Ability to prepare a variety of tandoori dishes and breads consistently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and food quality.
  • Food Handler Certification is an asset.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
