Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Tandoor Cook to join our vibrant culinary team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic dishes using traditional tandoor ovens, ensuring each meal is crafted with precision and care. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional dining experiences by maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Duties

  • Operate and maintain tandoor ovens to cook a variety of traditional dishes with consistent quality and flavor.
  • Prepare ingredients, marinate meats, and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Monitor cooking processes closely to ensure food safety, proper temperature, and optimal texture.
  • Serve freshly prepared dishes promptly to ensure peak freshness and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and seasoning ingredients for various menu items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper handling of food and utensils.
  • Follow all food safety protocols, including hygiene standards, storage procedures, and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of traditional tandoor cooking techniques and familiarity with Indian or Middle Eastern cuisine is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food handling safety standards to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members.
  • Prior experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of meal preparation, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment operation.
