Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced South Indian Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring authentic South Indian cuisine expertise, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and have a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, managing food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for guests while maintaining efficient restaurant management.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook authentic Dum Biryanis, south indian special appetizers like chicken 65 with attention to traditional flavors and presentation standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including training and guiding team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Oversee food handling, storage, and safety procedures in compliance with health regulations
  • Manage food preparation schedules to meet customer demand efficiently
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Assist in menu planning and development to introduce new South Indian specialties
  • Serve as a leader during service hours, ensuring excellent food service experience for guests
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of ingredients
  • Uphold hospitality standards by providing excellent customer service when interacting with guests

Experience

  • Proven 10 years experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management, specifically within the South Indian cuisine segment
  • Supervising experience in a busy kitchen environment is highly desirable
  • Strong background in food safety, handling, and sanitation practices within the food industry
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings emphasizing customer service excellence
  • Knowledge of food industry trends related to South Indian cuisine and culinary techniques
  • Ability to serve guests professionally while maintaining high standards of hospitality and teamwork
