Full job description

Today, Harv Wilkening Transport provides Less-Than-Truckload and Full-Truckload services throughout Canada. With more than 60 years of experience and trusted tools, Harv Wilkening gets the job done right every time.

Harv Wilkening Transport Ltd., requires Owner Operator Team Drivers to run domestically across Canada. Teams will be assigned to a scheduled route from Toronto to Vancouver with a majority of the loads being delivered from terminal to terminal. Independent Contractors are expected to match drivers as a team for the truck.

Responsibilities

  • Pickup and delivery of freight in a safe and efficient manner
  • Delivery of freight mainly between terminals
  • Handle freight and freight documents
  • Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks
  • Professional communication with customers
  • Ensure 100% compliance with safety
  • Perform all other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • Class 1A driver’s license (Required)
  • Use of your own truck and able to provide team drivers. (Required)
  • Truck must be 5 years or newer (Required)
  • Both drivers must have at least 2 years of Tractor/Trailer experience (Required)
  • Experience with heaters and reefers
  • Ability to drive in all terrains
  • Professional appearance and good hygiene
  • Safe driving record verified by a current driver’s abstract
  • Ability to perform all duties without restriction
