Join Our Team
We are looking for a motivated team member who will work collaboratively within an integrated service delivery team to make a meaningful impact for jobseekers across the Edmonton Manning and Metro Edmonton areas.
If you are a dynamic person who sees the best in people, enjoys creating connections, adapts well to change, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about inspiring and teaching others, you may be the perfect fit.
As a Service Navigator, you will support jobseekers by helping them access appropriate community resources, wraparound supports, and coordinated services to meet their specific needs. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, organized, and enjoys supporting people through change using an evidence-informed, person-centred approach.
We believe that skills can be taught, but attitude cannot. The most important qualification is a willingness to learn, excitement to help others, and the desire to make this role your own.
What You'll Do
- Conduct client intakes, eligibility screening, assessments, service planning, and referrals to understand client needs, barriers, and goals.
- Connect clients with appropriate community supports and resources to meet their individual needs.
- Identify life stability barriers such as housing, income, transportation, health, or family responsibilities.
- Provide ongoing support to help clients address individual needs and overcome barriers.
- Support clients in navigating services and completing required applications.
- Maintain accurate records of confidential client information.
- Collaborate with a multifunctional team to ensure coordinated, high-quality service delivery and achievement of program outcomes.
- Use case management systems to document participant interactions and progress while maintaining an organized caseload.
- Adhere to organizational policies related to confidentiality, privacy, and data integrity.
- Provide additional program supports as needed.
- Participate in occasional community engagement and outreach activities.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is:
- Engaging, adaptable, collaborative, and empathetic. (This is important!)
- A people person who is confident with networking.
- Detail-oriented and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple priorities that can change quickly. (No two days are the same in this role.)
- Passionate about learning and teaching others. Experience working in employment services is valuable, but we're primarily looking for someone with the right attitude and personality.
- An active listener committed to providing a first-class experience for both clients and employers. (Yes, our clients talk—we listen more. Use your spider senses!)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and some PowerPoint), Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
- Certified, formally trained, or experienced in social work, human services, psychology, disability management, or related fields.
- Knowledgeable about local community resources and support systems (considered an asset).
Working Conditions / Additional Requirements
- In-person position with some community engagement and employer outreach.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for events or deadlines.
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
Why Join Us?
Get rewarded for your passion to help others.
We offer:
- Comprehensive benefits package, including drug coverage, dental, and more.
- Paid statutory holidays.
- 10 paid sick days.
- 15 paid vacation days.
- Company Wellness Days.
- Opportunities for paid training and skill enhancement courses, as required.
- A strong emphasis on work-life balance.
- A dynamic, positive, and supportive team culture.
How to Apply
