Status: Part-time, on-call position based on workshop scheduling needs; 20 hours per week
- Delivering engaging and interactive CES4 workshops across a variety of programs and campuses
- Translating career development concepts into practical, real-world applications for students
- Adapting workshop delivery to suit diverse student populations and industry-specific expectations
- Supporting student readiness for employment through applied learning activities and coaching
- Collaborating with Career Services and campus teams to ensure consistency and quality of delivery
- Acting in a manner that upholds the College’s standards and commitment to student success
- Other related duties, as required
1. Delivering Career Services Workshops by:
- Facilitating a structured four-day (5 hours per day) CES4 workshop series covering:
- Resume Development
- Cover Letter Writing
- Job Search Strategies
- Networking Techniques
- Interview Preparation Professional Etiquette
- Creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and skill development
- Utilizing a variety of instructional techniques including group discussion, practical exercises, and real-world scenarios
- Ensuring consistent delivery aligned with College curriculum, standards, and outcomes
2. Adapting Content to Diverse Programs and Student Needs by:
- Tailoring workshop examples and coaching approaches to reflect the needs of various disciplines (e.g., healthcare, legal, business, trades, technology)
- Demonstrating an understanding of industry-specific hiring practices and expectations
- Supporting students in translating their program-specific skills into relevant employment applications
- Addressing varying levels of student readiness, confidence, and experience
3. Supporting Student Employment Readiness by:
- Coaching students in developing effective, targeted resumes and cover letters
- Guiding students through job search planning and execution
- Providing feedback on interview skills and professional presentation
- Encouraging accountability and engagement in the job search process
4. Collaborating with Internal Teams by:
- Working closely with Career Services staff and campus leadership to coordinate workshop delivery
- Communicating student progress, challenges, and feedback to appropriate stakeholders
- Contributing to continuous improvement of workshop materials and delivery approaches
5. Maintaining Quality and Compliance Standards by:
- Ensuring all workshops meet internal quality standards and external regulatory expectations
- Maintaining accurate records of workshop delivery and attendance as required
- Representing the College in a professional and consistent manner across all campuses
6. Acting in a Manner that Upholds the College Standards by:
- Demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and respect in all interactions with students and staff
- Upholding all College policies and procedures
- Maintaining a high standard of instructional quality and student engagement
- Exhibiting strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Diploma or certificate from a recognized University or College in a relevant discipline (Degree preferred).
- Two years’ experience in a related field, such as workshop facilitation or employment counselling or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a high-paced, target driven environment.
- Keep records of all conversations in our systems in a comprehensive way.
- Meet team qualitative and quantitative targets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to develop networks and maintain contacts within the business community.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Track record of over-achieving quota.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
- Good judgment and ability to prioritize assignments.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods.
- Ability to reach both quarterly and yearly goals consistently.
- Understanding of the strategic plan, programs and services provided by the College.
- Ability to exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service.
