Job Opportunity – Autonomous Ultrasound Technologist

Ellendale Radiologie is seeking an Autonomous Ultrasound Technologist to join our growing team.

We are looking for a skilled, independent, and patient-focused technologist who is committed to delivering high-quality ultrasound services in a modern, professional, and welcoming environment.

Your Role

As an Ultrasound Technologist, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing general ultrasound examinations in accordance with established standards, protocols, and best practices;
• Verifying patient identity and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical requisitions;
• Providing professional, safe, and compassionate patient care;
• Preparing patients and explaining procedures clearly and respectfully;
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff;
• Collaborating closely with radiologists and other members of the clinical team to ensure efficient and high-quality service;
• Ensuring proper documentation and completion of examinations;
• Maintaining and updating professional knowledge and competencies in accordance with the requirements of the professional order.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid medical imaging technologist permit and be a member in good standing of the OTIMROEPMQ;
• Hold the required authorization or attestation to practise ultrasound autonomously, where applicable;
• Experience in general ultrasound is required;
• Experience in abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, thyroid, soft-tissue, or other general ultrasound examinations is an asset;
• Strong technical and computer skills;
• Excellent autonomy, professionalism, attention to detail, and organizational skills;
• Strong interpersonal and patient-care skills;
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
