What the Role Does:
Turn checkout insights into better customer journeys that improve conversion, user experience, and revenue.
As a Checkout Specialist, you will plan, build, launch, and analyze experiments across LawDepot’s checkout funnel. You will drive improvements to the customer experience by testing new ideas, managing a growing backlog of opportunities, and adapting quickly as team priorities change.
This is a great opportunity for a versatile, hands-on generalist who enjoys working in a fast, iterative, hypothesis-driven environment. You will use data, customer insights, competitive research, and conversion best practices to develop experiments that improve the customer journey while supporting team and business goals.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, with the option to work hybrid from our Edmonton, Alberta office.
What You’ll Do:
-
Own checkout experiments end to end, from hypothesis and planning through build, launch, and analysis
-
Create and implement content and layout experiments across selection, payment, and receipt pages, along with transactional emails
-
Write clear, conversion-oriented copy that supports customer decision-making and aligns with team goals
-
Utilize A/B testing to optimize presentation changes and improve the checkout experience
-
Use experiment results, funnel data, customer segmentation, user research, and competitive research to form well-supported hypotheses
-
Build production-ready assets for checkout pages
-
Create specifications and Figma wireframes for larger launches across products and markets
-
Evaluate experiment performance against goals and make evidence-based recommendations
-
Manage experiment launches, updates, and takedowns through our internal content management system (CMS)
-
Collaborate with Development, Product, UX Design, and Analysis teams to deliver successful project launches
-
Structure content and page layouts to support localization and responsive experiences across devices
-
Keep backlog statuses up to date and support reliable sprint planning, cycle-time tracking, and team visibility
-
Work in short cycles, adjusting priorities as team and business needs evolve
What You Bring:
The Essentials
-
Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, Consumer Psychology, or a related field
-
Strong conversion-oriented writing skills, with the ability to write copy that supports measurable outcomes
-
Experience taking digital experiments from planning through launch and results analysis

-
Strong ability to learn new content management system tools, quickly and independently

-
Awareness of localization and device considerations when designing content and layouts
-
Ability to interpret experiment results, funnel data, and usage patterns with sound judgment
-
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain clear and current project documentation
-

The Nice to Haves (Great if you have it and we’ll help you learn if you don’t)
-
Ability to utilize AI tools to support drafting, ideation, analysis, prototyping, and workflow efficiency
-
Experience using A/B testing or experimentation platforms, and reviewing performance reports
-
Prior SaaS, eCommerce, subscription, or freemium monetization experience
-
Background in technical writing, UX writing, or content design, with the ability to make complex information clear, useful, and customer-friendly
