  • Support client requests for new software and licensing information, providing clear guidance and advisory services to stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with software vendors and partner with Vendor Management and Contracts to resolve agreement and licensing challenges.
  • Stay current on key vendor licensing models, changes, and updates to support informed decision-making and compliance.
  • Contribute to software compliance audits by working with cross-functional teams to review and address findings.
  • Keep software asset management data accurate and aligned by ensuring software models are connected to the appropriate contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the right licenses are in place before deployment and support purchase requisitions and related cost data for invoice processing.

What You Bring:

  • Post-secondary diploma with a preference in IT, Business/Commerce, or Supply Chain
  • 3+ years’ experience of software asset procurement and management
  • Experience working in a corporate, technology-driven organization
  • Strong understanding of software licensing, compliance, procurement, and asset management practices, including the ability to reconcile purchased rights and maintenance terms with deployed software assets
  • Strong data analysis and manipulation skills including strong MS Excel

  • Experience using software asset management and procurement tools such as ServiceNow, SCCM, or Oracle Purchasing
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to communicate complex licensing or technical information clearly to non-technical audiences while managing competing priorities
  • General understanding of current IT technologies and industry practices
  • Self-starter who can work independently and proactively resolve licensing issues
  • Proficiency with Software Asset Management and Procurement tools, such as: Service Now, Microsoft SCCM, Oracle Purchasing
  • ServiceNow SAM Pro experience and/or CIS-SAM certification are strong assets
