Full job description

BAI is looking for an individual to guide public accounting firms through the adoption, integration, and ongoing refinement of our policy-based platform.

What You'll Do

Execute

Follow established procedures to work with data, run scripts, problem solve, and configure applications. Play a hands-on role as firms transition from on-premises apps to cloud-based solutions.

Contribute

Participate in research, analysis and documentation as apps release new features, then document findings and best practices to keep our member firms ahead of the curve

Coach

Mentor our clients on the implementation, integration, and continued refinement of

our well-documented policies, protocols, and guidance

About You

Confident Communicator

  • Communicate technical concepts using clear common-sense language
  • Guide clients through tasks and configurations by screen share

Technical Execution

  • Run and modify existing Windows scripts (bat, vbs, ps, etc)
  • Set and modify Windows file security and folder permissions
  • Create, modify Windows network shares and set permissions
  • Methodical troubleshooting

MS Excel and Data analysis

  • Create, understand and modify complex Excel formulas
  • Reconcile and match listings across datasets
  • Summarize and filter data
  • Run and modify existing VBA macros and tools
  • Use BI tools such as Power BI to explore and visualize large datasets

Accounting Industry Experience

  • Tax preparation or support (Taxprep, TaxCycle, ProFile etc)
  • Engagement preparation or support (Caseware Working Papers / Caseware Cloud)
  • Document management (Doc.It, iFirm, M-Files, etc)

Strong Written English

  • Write clear, accurate step-by-step instructions
  • Proofread and QC technical documentation
  • Maintain a meticulous eye for detail — formatting, terminology, and tone all matter
  • Work within established templates and style guides to ensure a consistent client experience

You May Also Have

  • Professional accounting designation
  • Experience at a public accounting firm
  • Experience at a software vendor / MSP
  • Experience with Power Automate or similar automation tools
  • Familiarity using AI assistants as a work tool
