Combo Vac Operator

Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta
Job type: Full-time, permanent
Work location: In person
Pay: ~$150,000 - $180,000 Annually

H2Oil Energy Inc. is hiring experienced Combo Vac Operators for our Grande Prairie operations.

This position offers a predictable rotation, assigned equipment and predominantly local work, allowing operators to be home most nights. You will join a close-knit local operations team supported by steady work and a diverse customer base throughout the Peace Region.

Schedule and work area

Most work is currently local to the Peace Region area, and operators are home most nights. Occasional longer-distance assignments do arise.

The position follows a recurring 6-on/2-off, 6-on/3-off rotation. Night shifts may be required as needed.

What you’ll do

  • Safely operate Combo Vac equipment on oilfield and industrial job sites
  • Perform vacuum, fluid-recovery and related field services safely and professionally
  • Complete required pre-trip, post-trip and routine equipment inspections
  • Keep your assigned unit clean, organized and ready for work
  • Identify and report equipment or maintenance concerns immediately
  • Complete electronic job tickets and time reporting accurately using Aimsio
  • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, supervisors and coworkers
  • Work independently while following company, customer and regulatory safety requirements
  • Remain flexible as workloads and customer requirements change

Required qualifications

  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licence
  • Five-year commercial driver’s abstract
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices
  • Ability to work the published rotation, including night shifts when required
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Comfort using mobile applications for electronic ticketing, time reporting and accessing pay information
  • Ability to satisfy H2Oil’s pre-employment screening requirements

Preferred qualifications

  • At least one year of directly relevant Combo-Vac operating experience
  • Oilfield or back-road driving experience
  • Turnaround experience
  • Current H2S Alive and Standard First Aid certificates
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude and dependable attendance
  • Organized, clean and efficient approach to equipment and field work
