Full job description

A well-established law firm is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join its Vancouver office. This is an excellent opportunity for a recruitment professional looking to build on their recruitment experience while gaining exposure to broader HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the recruitment process from job postings through candidate screening, interviews and recommendations
  • Draft job postings and coordinate candidate and interview communications
  • Maintain candidate records and recruitment databases
  • Conduct reference checks and assist with pre-employment requirements
  • Draft and maintain HR processes, procedures and other documentation
  • Provide administrative and project support to the HR team as required

Requirements

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Human Resources or a related field
  • 2–3 years of recruitment experience, including screening and interviewing candidates for professional roles, ideally legal roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion and understanding of confidentiality
  • Strong technical skills; experience with an HRIS is an asset
  • Experience in a legal or professional services environment is an asset
  • Interest in developing into a broader HR generalist role

Compensation

Salary: $63,000–$82,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
