Title: Business Development Manager
Job type: In office, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, M-F
Salary: $70,000-$80,000 Plus Commission

We are a team on a mission to simplify and streamline the work that our educators and librarians do to make knowledge accessible to everyone. Specializing in Library Automation Systems and other education-industry software, we strive to develop and distribute easy to use software solutions that empower the future of our schools and libraries. Insignia’s customers range from K-12 school districts and public libraries to academic and special libraries who use our ILS to manage their operations.

Job Description:
Insignia Software is seeking energetic candidates to market Insignia products. Insignia offers a host of software solutions including a library automation system, resource manager, digital asset manager, and student management system. We are looking for candidates who like to excel and looking for an opportunity to show they are the best.

Duties:

This position requires a candidate to be ambitious and creative in exceeding marketing and sales goals. Day to day tasks include but are not limited to:

1. Marketing analysis to identify prospects

2. Calling and emailing leads and potential prospects

3. Keeping track of leads and prospects in the CRM

4. Giving online or onsite product demonstrations

5. In-depth knowledge of Insignia products

6. Performing market and competitor analyses

7. Attending tradeshows or conferences anywhere in Canada and the USA

Requirements:

1. Business degree or diploma in business

2. 5-7 years proven experience in marketing enterprise applications

3. Experience using Enterprise Applications

4. Strong analytical skills

5. Exceptional communication skills via writing, phone, email and in-person

6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

7. Willing to travel at least 1 week/month

Salary and benefits:

1. Salary $70,000-$80,000/year plus sales commission

2. Benefit package after probation period

3. RRSP Matching program after 1 year of service
