Job Summary

Alpha & Omega Painting is hiring an experienced painter to join our team. We work on residential, commercial, strata, and restoration projects throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

This position is for someone who can complete professional-quality painting work with no supervision. You must understand proper preparation—not just how to apply paint—and be dependable about attendance, communication, and job-site procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, filling, and caulking
  • Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, landscaping, and adjacent finished surfaces
  • Apply paint, stain, primer, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
  • Produce clean cut lines and consistent, professional finishes
  • Work from written scopes and follow instructions from the Project Manager or Site Supervisor
  • Identify deficiencies or unexpected site conditions before proceeding
  • Keep tools, materials, and work areas organized
  • Complete daily cleanup and leave occupied properties safe and tidy
  • Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and other trades
  • Follow company safety procedures and use ladders and equipment safely
  • Submit required hours, job notes, and progress photos accurately and on time

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of professional painting experience
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation and paint application
  • Experience with both interior and exterior painting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
  • Ability to maintain consistent quality without constant supervision
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Reliable personal vehicle for travelling to job sites
  • Reliable smartphone for schedules, time entries, job notes, and photos
  • Comfortable working from ladders and at heights
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

Experience with airless spraying, staining, drywall repairs, restoration work, or commercial projects is an asset.
