Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Server/Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. This role combines leadership with exceptional guest service, overseeing daily restaurant operations, managing staff, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong food service knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a vibrant food industry environment while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the serving to ensure efficient and courteous service.
  • Assist in training new team members on POS systems such as Micros POS, food handling, and sanitation protocols.
  • Manage guest relations by providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, basic math calculations, and upselling menu items.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant.
  • Support kitchen operations by coordinating with culinary staff for timely food delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure all health codes are adhered to.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant operations, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.

  • Ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and manage guest interactions professionally.
  • Prior experience with upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities is a plus.
