Who we are

The Westin Bear Mountain Resort & Spa in Victoria is a luxurious 5-star hotel with 91 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and lounge area, a 300-person ballroom, and conference facilities. The hotel is part of the Westin brand, which falls under the Marriott umbrella. The hotel also features a state-of-the-art spa and serenity pool.

About the position

Our hotel is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our busy kitchen team covering PM shifts. In this position, you will assist in creating Italian and west coast fresh and quality food items for the hotel's restaurant as well as for banquets and functions. Our perfect candidate has a solid cooking background and experience in a busy upscale restaurant. You have to be Food Safe qualified.

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, and to work independently, but also as part of the culinary team.

About your experience

Minimum 2 years proven experience in the kitchen of a high-volume hotel or restaurant.

Knowledge of Italian cuisine and grill.

Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food health and safety.
