Job Title: Bartender
Company: Azuridge Estate Hotel in Foothills, AB

Job Overview
The Bartender will tend bar in the Opal Dining Room and for Events (including but not limited to weddings & private functions). They will have great communication skills, an eye for detail, and ensure service excellence.
This will be a Part-Time position with potential for Full-Time hours during our busy summer season (May-Sept).
** Azuridge is located just outside of Priddis, about 25 minutes SW of Calgary **

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Tend bar for the Opal Dining Room, as well as bars for functions and weddings, including our on-property gazebo
  • Set up and tear down Portable Bars, when applicable
  • Be knowledgeable of all food and beverage items in order to make recommendations
  • Lead guests through the wine and beverage lists, and ensure excellent guest service by providing insightful drink recommendations during lunch and dinner service
  • Perform opening and closing bar responsibilities, including stocking, cleaning, and maintaining all bar products including preparing necessary mise en place
  • Duties and responsibilities assigned by the Sommelier, including assisting the Dining & Banquet Manager with set ups/tear downs, as required
  • ** This is a physical role that will involve extended periods of walking, standing, and lifting.

  • Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and beer; formal training (ie WSET) is a major asset

  • Must possess superior verbal and written communication skills
  • The utmost of professionalism and attention to detail, while being well presented
  • Weeknight evening and weekend availability is essential
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg
  • Must have own transportation as we are located outside of Calgary

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
