Job Title: Assistant Maintenance Manager
Location: Jasper, Alberta

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Maintenance Manager in daily operations and preventive maintenance
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining pool and hot tub systems, including chemical balance and equipment
  • Help coordinate renovation projects and room upgrades
  • Assist in maintaining critical systems including boilers and HVAC systems
  • Follow and enforce safety regulations and building codes
  • Supervise maintenance staff when Maintenance Manager is absent
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records

Requirements:

  • Trade certification in plumbing or electrical an asset
  • 4 years maintenance experience
  • 1 year supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Experience with basic repairs and maintenance
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent English, written and verbal (2nd language an asset)
  • Current valid work visa/permit, permanent residence status, or Canadian citizenship
  • Criminal record check
  • Driver’s abstract & 3-year's insurance history

Preferred qualifications:

  • Additional trade certifications
  • Pool operation certification (training can be provided)
  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking
  • Additional supervisory experience

  • Our staff accommodation is a shared, dormitory-style environment where up to 13 team members live together and share common spaces. Bedrooms are shared with one roommate, and pets or family members (including spouses) are not permitted. Staff accommodation costs $13.50-15.00 a day (depending on property) and doesn't include prepared food/meal. Team members are expected to provide their own food and prepare it themselves.
