Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host/food runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional guest services and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
  • Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours.
  • Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status.
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, including reservations and general information about the restaurant.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
  • Assist in managing the flow of guests during busy periods to optimize seating efficiency.
  • Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels valued and appreciated.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and customer interaction.
  • Familiarity with food service operations and POS systems, specifically Micros POS, is advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service.
