Job Overview
At Vetopia Animal Hospital, we’re more than just a clinic—we’re a caring community dedicated to providing outstanding veterinary care with heart. We're currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to be the friendly face at our front desk and a helping hand behind the scenes.

Duties

  • Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the clinic.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient use of the veterinarian's time.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the clinic's database.
  • Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
  • Assist in managing inventory of supplies and laboratory materials as needed.
  • Assist in patient handling, proper restraint for various procedures, and basic patient care as needed.
  • Assist with surgical procedures, including patient preparation, monitoring during surgery and recovery, post-surgery cleanup, and sterilization of instruments for upcoming procedures.
  • Ensure the reception area and exam rooms are clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards clients and pets alike.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record management.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures is a plus, enhancing your ability to assist the veterinary team.
  • A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
