We are searching for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Parkland Ancaster team based in Ancaster, Ontario.

About the Opportunity

  • Provides leadership and oversight to all operational elements of the housekeeping department to ensure compliance to brand standards, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
  • Supervises, directs, and evaluates the work of the housekeeping team
  • Oversees the full recruitment process of housekeeping team members
  • Ensures new team members are orientated and trained on all departmental standards
  • Oversees the process to ensure each resident has an assigned weekly housekeeping time for suite cleaning
  • Oversees the process to ensure each resident laundry services requirements are conducted to a high standard
  • Conducts routine Housekeeping & Laundry audits to determine compliance with Occupational Brand Standards, Health & Safety rules, and chemical safety standards
  • Ensures overall budget objectives are met
  • Oversees departmental spending
  • Oversee inventory controls of the Housekeeping Department
  • Additional duties where required

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of people leadership experience in a housekeeping setting
  • Minimum of five (5) years of housekeeping experience in either the Hotel, Hospital, or Senior Living Industry
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Current Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check, prior to appointment
  • Training in Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias
