Medical Administrative Assistant – Ravines Medical Group

Ravines Medical Group has an immediate openings for full-time Medical Office Administrative Assistants for Timberlea Medical Centre . We are seeking two individuals who is motivated by contributing to the health and wellness of patients and the broader community. We have two position, one will be a 12 month term covering a maternity leave and the other permanent position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for front desk and administrative duties supporting two physicians, duties including:

  • Booking patient appointments using EMR systems (Telus Health – Med Access)
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Taking and relaying messages accurately and professionally
  • Managing both electronic and paper filing systems
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail, including specimens
  • Coordinating specialist referrals (online and paper-based)
  • Scheduling appointments with external providers (e.g., X-ray and diagnostic imaging)
  • Scanning and organizing medical documents

From time to time, the role may also include supporting clinical workflow by ensuring examination rooms are properly stocked, cleaned, and that instruments are appropriately sterilized.

About the Role

In addition to strong technical and administrative skills, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, team-based environment. Strong organizational abilities and a proven capacity to build positive rapport with patients are essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience working as a medical receptionist or medical office assistant
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Telus Health – Med Access
