Recruitment Specialist

Annual Salary - $56,299.37-$70,374.21 (Commensurate with experience)

Permanent Full Time

Start Date – As soon as possible

Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the Recruitment Specialist provides strategic recruitment support and advice to leaders across all organizational entities. Working within legislative requirements, collective agreements, organizational policies, and strategic priorities, the Recruitment Specialist is responsible for leading centralized, full-cycle recruitment activities and supporting workforce sustainability through effective talent attraction and equitable hiring practices. The Recruitment Specialist acts as a liaison between hiring managers and prospective candidates, ensuring a positive recruitment experience while matching qualified candidates to appropriate employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition

  • Lead centralized, full-cycle external recruitment for positions across all organizational entities.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for clinical, non-clinical, and support service positions.
  • Utilize sourcing platforms, job boards, recruitment technologies, and networking opportunities to identify and engage talent.
  • Conduct candidate screening and support hiring managers throughout the recruitment and selection process.
  • Assist with interview scheduling, candidate communications, and recruitment coordination activities.
  • Monitor and manage applicant tracking systems, resume databases, and recruitment portals.

Recruitment Programs and Initiatives

  • Lead recruitment and selection initiatives, including job fairs, hiring events, career fairs, and targeted recruitment campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain recruitment processes, tools, templates, interview guides, and assessment materials.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, community organizations, workforce development agencies, and professional associations.
  • Liaise with external recruitment firms and agencies for identified vacancies and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Participate in workforce attraction activities that enhance the organization's visibility as an employer of choice.

Consultation and Advisory Services

  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers regarding recruitment and selection best practices.
  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with legislative requirements, collective agreements, organizational policies, and equity principles.
  • Assist managers with candidate screening, interview preparation, and selection processes.
  • Deliver education and training to leaders and peers regarding recruitment processes and tools.

Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Completion of, or progress toward, a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is considered an asset.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive recruitment or talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience recruiting within both unionized and non-unionized environments.
  • Experience utilizing sourcing platforms, job boards, applicant tracking systems, and recruitment technologies.
  • Experience recruiting healthcare professionals or within a healthcare environment is considered a strong asset.

Pay: $56,299.37-$70,374.21 per year
